Rained nearly all Night. Up at Sun-up.
The sun came out beautiful. The Camp
is very muddy and disagreeable. I
went into the Dead House this Morning.
I counted 22 died during the Night
Keys of Company H. Died today
they hauled out 27. At 10 A.M.
We drew a good Ration of
Beef & Mutton. I got Mutton. also
[Sgt. James W.] Eberharts Ration of Beef. At 1 P.M.
Drew Rice Soup. Eberhart got mine
The day were [wore?] away. it was very
pleasant. but we drew no Bread
Counted at 4 P.M.
