Tuesday Sept 6th [1864]

Cloudy & cool. slight sprinkling of
rain. Turned out and counted. I
was up sometime in the night. A
large light could be seen in the City
and bells ringing. Supposed to be
another fire. Sick call immediately
after we were counted. Our squad are
all in pretty good health. Only one man
gone to the Hospital yet. At 2 P.M. we
drew one days ration of Bread (45) &
meat. at 3 P.M. we drew soup (2).
Continued raining at intervals
all day. In the evening it got
very cold. Fixed up the tent and
made it pretty comfortable. Sergts
drew an extra Ration today
